The Board of Directors are pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Michael Hegarty as Chief Executive Officer of St. Joseph’s Foundation following the recent retirement of Ms. Noreen Ryan, CEO.
We are delighted to welcome Michael to St. Joseph’s Foundation who commenced in his new role on Tuesday 7th of June 2022.
Michael joins St. Joseph’s Foundation with over 20 years of experience in the healthcare sector. Michael worked for over a decade in Brothers of Charity before joining the Cork Kerry Community Healthcare, most recently as HSE Disability Services Manager for the Cork North region.
A native of Cork, Michael initially studied Social Care in Cork Institute of Technology (now MTU) and thereafter studied Human Resources Management in University College Cork. Michael most recently studied a Masters of Commerce, in UCC, whereby his research looked at the real impact of National Disability legislation and policies on front line service provision.
