At SJF, we provides services and supports to over 1,900 children and adults with intellectual disabilities and autism, along with their families, across North Cork and South Limerick. Our work focuses on empowering the people we support to live fulfilling lives within their communities through a range of residential, respite, day, and therapeutic services.
In 2025, we introduced our Alternative Respite Sundays. These Sundays have become a valued initiative for families caring for a loved one at home. Families can access facilities such as swimming, equine therapy, sensory and soft play areas, and outdoor amenities, all within an inclusive, supportive environment. In recent weeks, we have had over 150 families attend each weekend.
To improve this initiative, the development of our campus is key. All funds raised from our Golf Classic will go directly towards enhancing our services and facilities at our main campus in Charleville. I have enclosed a flyer about our Sundays for your attention.
Last year, the golf classic raised €13,956 and these funds were used to transform our old garden centre building into a community hub, newly named "The Nest". Photos below of the building.
